Job Summary
Support daily classroom routines including circle time, meals, nap time, and transitions while fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for toddlers. Monitor and supervise children to ensure their health, safety, and well-being at all times, assisting with diapering, potty training, and other personal care needs. Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom space and assist teachers with daily activities and staff breaks. Communicate openly and positively with parents and guardians regarding daily activities and child progress. Work 9:30 to 6:00pm or 10am to 6pm or 11:30am to 6pm at Providence Children's Academy in Coconut Creek, FL, contributing to a collaborative workplace dedicated to early education.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to meet Florida DCF childcare staff requirements and background screening
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
Desired Qualifications
- Early childhood education coursework
- Previous experience working with toddlers or in a childcare setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Patient, caring, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
