Job Summary
Be in charge of daily classroom activities and supervise preschoolers to create a safe, engaging environment indoors and outdoors. Develop and implement weekly lesson plans; support social, emotional, and early developmental skills; assist with daily routines including snacks, cleanup, and transitions; maintain a clean, organized classroom; communicate with parents and other school staff; provide support during nap time; collaborate with teammates to foster a nurturing, growth-focused classroom community.
Required Qualifications
- 12 child development units minimum
- CPR/First Aid certification required
- Background check required
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
- Problem-solving and mediation skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
