Job Summary
Lead Preschool Teacher for Kapalama Preschool, delivering Hawaiian culture-based education to Native Hawaiian communities. Responsibilities include implementing a growth-minded, student-centered approach; fostering E Ola! learner outcomes; developing interdisciplinary, differentiated instruction; collaborating with families and school stakeholders; and modeling professional practice with emphasis on culture, curriculum design, and community engagement. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and 5+ years of instruction in primary area(s); teaching credentials are preferred. The role is a regular, full-time position based in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in area related to primary instructional responsibilities
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the requirements listed below
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and/or recent experience with using age appropriate instructional strategies (e.g. differentiated instruction, project-based learning, personalized learning)
- Demonstrated knowledge of current age-appropriate instructional strategies
