Job Summary
Prepare lesson plans and instruct students in accordance with established curriculum and student need. Assess student needs and performance, modify instruction to meet individual child requirements, and evaluate student progress regarding curriculum achievements. Plan, organize, and display classroom materials while implementing classroom management techniques to ensure safety and order. Inform parents of evaluation methods, student progress, and instructional strategies to assist learning. Participate as a member of an instructional team, observe child behavior, and monitor teacher assistants and volunteers. Harvest Preparatory Academy serves PreK-12 with a college preparatory, student-centered program. This role requires a Highly Qualified Preschool Teacher with a BA in ECE or equivalent coursework, 6 months of experience, and fingerprint clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Highly Qualified per FTF/ADE Guidelines
- BA in ECE (Early Childhood Education) OR Other BA w. 37 hours of ECE classes
- Fingerprint Clearance Card
- 18 years of age
- 6 months of experience
- AEPA (Professional Knowledge & ECE Subject area)
- SEI (45 hours) or ESL, Bi-lingual endorsements
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work cooperatively with all members of the staff
- Must be able to communicate effectively with parents
