Job Summary
Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for almost 3-year-olds while fostering a love of learning through creative methods. Observe and assess children's development to adjust daily routines and transitions smoothly, addressing behavioral issues with positive guidance. Maintain open communication with parents by conducting conferences and encouraging family involvement in school activities. Ensure classroom cleanliness and safety by supervising children during indoor and outdoor play while adhering to all health guidelines. Collaborate with staff to share strategies and participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood best practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- 2 -3 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
- Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
