Job Summary
Design and implement daily lesson plans to support a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes social, cultural, educational, physical, and emotional growth. Supervise children, classroom staff, and activities while ensuring care and safety. Conduct systematic observations and evaluations of each child, maintain required program records including attendance and medical files, and post schedules and menus per regulation. Engage parents through conferences and volunteer opportunities. Maintain classroom and equipment, and participate in family nights, staff meetings, and training. Adhere to NAEYC and DEEC standards and complete required certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Meets educational and experience qualifications established by DEEC, NAEYC, and QRIS.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Must obtain, and keep current, certification in CPR, First Aid and Child Abuse Prevention.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Job Type: Full-time (Non-Exempt)
- Pay: $18.50 to $22.38/hr (based on education and experience)
- Child protection is every employee's job, and employees may not begin work until they are trained.
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred associate degree or evidence of enrollment in a college degree program.
- Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
- Previous experience with diverse populations.
