Job Summary
Preschool teacher responsible for implementing the classroom program in alignment with the school’s policies and Catholic philosophy, respecting individual children’s needs, creating a well-organized classroom environment, and supporting children as integral members of a group. Responsibilities include supervising daily activities, maintaining attendance and safety logs, communicating with parents, participating in professional development, assisting with assessing development, performing housekeeping duties as needed, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires CPR/First Aid, immunizations, background checks/Livescan, Mandated Reporter training, and compliance with licensing requirements; experience teaching in a preschool classroom and 12+ ECE units are required. The role supports a Christ-centered learning environment with a focus on safety, confidentiality, and collaborative duties across staff.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of completion of 12 or more Early Childhood Education (ECE) Units
- Clear criminal background check (a clear Livescan for Community Care Licensing is a condition of employment)
- Experience teaching in a preschool classroom
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Proof of immunizations
- Proof of completed Mandated Reporter training for Child Care Providers
- Cleared TB test to work in Licensed Child Care Facility
- Proven ability to communicate regularly with parents
- Positive professional references and recommendations
