Job Summary
Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment for children aged 3 to 5, leading developmentally appropriate activities to foster growth in all childhood areas. Maintain a trusting relationship with children and their families while ensuring a secure, health-conscious, and well-organized setting that accommodates individual needs. Work a 10-hour day shift from Tuesday through Friday at Hermitage Head Start, supported by generous paid time off, comprehensive health insurance, and a 4-day work week.
Required Qualifications
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, included with either completed Early Childhood Education coursework or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- Experience teaching preschool age children
Desired Qualifications
- Daycare, preschool, or childcare work experience
- Prefer experience working with low-income families and children
- Experience with integrating Early Childhood Development theory into daily classroom activities
- Tailor approaches to meet the individual needs of children
