Job Summary
Plan, supervise, and implement childcare programs in accordance with State of California Community Care Licensing guidelines. Independently supervise up to 12 children or lead an assistant with up to 18 children, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment while guiding behaviors through positive methods. Carry out lesson plans, maintain HEPA standards for healthy eating and physical activity, and manage daily facility upkeep including cleaning and equipment checks. Report any concerns regarding building grounds or potential child/elder abuse as a mandated reporter. Complete required in-service trainings, certifications, and the annual campaign process within specified timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 12 units in Child Development or a related field
- 6 months of experience in a childcare setting
- Complete required certifications within 60 days of hire
- Complete all required Branch and Position specific trainings as required within two weeks of hire
- Ability to obtain Criminal Record Clearance
