Job Summary
Implement an early childhood education program aligned with developmental, linguistic, and cultural norms under the Education Specialist. Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe and excited to learn. Plan and execute developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum that fosters cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language skills for preschool-aged children. Support dual-language learners by integrating language-rich experiences that honor both English and Spanish. Attend to daily care needs, including lifting, diapering, feeding, and promoting hygiene. Observe and assess progress regularly to tailor instruction and guide learning experiences. Collaborate with families through regular communication and culturally respectful partnerships. Maintain accurate records for attendance, assessments, and health protocols. Work effectively with children with special needs to ensure inclusion and individualized support.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or Associate of Arts (AA) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- Current CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler's permit
- Ability to work with children with special needs
- Ability to work with children with limited or no English
