Job Summary
Preschool-Bilingual teacher responsible for the constant supervision of children in a full-time classroom serving families experiencing homelessness. The role includes designing and implementing an age-appropriate, multi-cultural curriculum; applying positive behavior management techniques; informing parents about curriculum plans; maintaining PQ registry and completing 20 hours of professional development annually; documenting progress and facilitating parent conferences; coordinating with Lead Teacher and family coaching staff to support healthy family relationships; ensuring health and safety in accord with state regulations and Horizons policies; organizing schedules for child-initiated and teacher-directed activities; submitting timely records and reports; and contributing to a collaborative classroom team. Education requirements include EEC Teacher Certification, with preference for Associates or Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and related experience; bilingual ability in English and Spanish is highlighted as a key skill.
Required Qualifications
- EEC Teacher Certification required
- At least 9 months to 1 year of relevant work experience
- 12 ECE Credits minimum preferred for EHS and HS classrooms
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education (ECE) or related field strongly preferred
