Preschool Teacher Assistant

Collaborates with the classroom teacher to provide a positive learning environment and curriculum supporting social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development in line with Head Start standards and Oregon licensing. Responsibilities include supervising children indoors/outdoors with positive guidance, assisting with classroom setup and materials, supporting implementation of individualized activities, maintaining portfolios and documentation, communicating with the teacher about health and development, supporting family engagement and home visits, promoting healthy practices, and adhering to safety and confidentiality policies. Requires working within the preschool setting with a focus on early childhood development and ongoing professional development.
