Job Summary
Assist the Teacher to create and deliver lesson plans, and assist with school curriculum; oversee outdoor activities to ensure a safe environment for children; assist with rest time setup, supervision, and lunch coverage; prepare materials and setup equipment for daily activities; provide care during lunchtime and rest time; aftercare coverage if needed; support individual children respecting their cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, and participate in professional growth through trainings; able to sit on the floor and move with children, maintain dignity and respect for all, and share housekeeping responsibilities with staff after children depart; enthusiastic, patient, and nurturing demeanor required; Catholic school affiliation preferred; Catholic Diocese of San Diego commitment to diversity.
Required Qualifications
- 12 ECE units or completed minimum of 6 ECE units and enrolled in 6 ECE units (transcripts provided)
- Live Scan Fingerprint and CMG Background Clearance
- TB test clearance to work in a Licensed Child Care Facility
- Proof of MMR and D-TAP vaccines
- Previous experience in a licensed preschool or early development center (preferred)
