Job Summary
Implement company-selected curriculum activities while supervising children during classroom play, outdoor time, and transportation. Safely transport students to and from designated locations, maintaining a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Keep classrooms, vehicles, and learning areas clean and organized, and support completion of DRDP evaluations and documentation. Communicate regularly with parents regarding child progress and address concerns professionally. Attend monthly trainings and staff meetings, and comply with all licensing regulations and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- At least 12 Early Childhood Education units, must include: Early Child Development; Child, Family & Community; Infant & Toddler; and any other Child Development class (i.e. Program & Curriculum, Child Health & Safety, etc.)
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to meet company driving requirements
- Must pass DSS Background Check
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and sit on the floor and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle and assist children in entering and exiting the vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years of experience working with preschool-age children preferred
- Passionate about working with children (infants through school age) and possesses a positive and patient demeanor
- Must be able to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with various personalities
- Willing to learn software applications and adapt to change
