Preschool Teacher Assistant

Aid the classroom teacher in the instruction and care of preschool children, ages 3-5 years, while guiding them in activities to promote social interaction, physical movement, and intellectual growth. This full-time position at Claxton Elementary spans 192 days per year, with a schedule of 7.5 hours daily from 7:30 am to 3 pm. Pay is based on the Anderson County Schools' educational assistant pay scale with applicable educational supplements, with starting rates potentially increased for formal, verifiable work experience. A Child Development Associate credential or higher is preferred, and Spanish-speaking candidates are desired.
