Job Summary
Prepare classroom activities under supervision and work with small groups to reinforce instructional material. Guide independent study, enrichment, and remedial work while assisting individual children needing special attention. Maintain confidentiality, correct papers, and supervise make-up work or testing assigned by certificated employees. Assist with non-instructional duties including snack, toilet, and clothing routines, as well as operating office and technology equipment. Support the school administrator and teachers in creating a smooth functioning environment where students can fully utilize available resources.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or verifiable G.E.D.
- passing score of the Parapro Assessment
- Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
- Past history of good attendance, being dependable, and punctual
- Works effectively without direct supervision
- Communicates effectively with children and adults
