Job Summary
Plan environments, activities, and daily routines using the High Scope curriculum to support the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of young children. Observe, screen, and assess children to ensure progress toward school readiness goals while maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment. Establish warm, secure relationships with each child and manage the classroom as part of a teaching team. Act as an engaged partner with families and adhere to all RCMA funding and DCF requirements. This role requires a Florida Child Care Professional Credential or equivalent, bilingual English/Spanish skills, and CPR/First-Aid certification. Required Qualifications
- Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC) Birth-5 years
- Preschool National CDA
- Early Childhood Professional Certificate (ECPC)
- Child Care Apprenticeship Certificate (CCAC)
- Staff Credential Verification NECC
- 9 college credits in early childhood education and 3 months experience in the field (480 hours) in teaching preschool-age children
- Preschool National CDA within 260 days of accepting this position (for applicants with Infant Toddler National CDA)
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- VPK hours and training
- Member of the community being served

- current certification in Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Pediatric First-Aid
- successfully complete a Level 2 fingerprint-based background screening
