Job Summary
The Preschool Teacher will plan and coordinate activities to support children's emotional, physical, social, and cognitive development in a safe environment. The role requires developing creative curriculum lessons, maintaining an organized classroom, documenting children’s progress, and participating in training events. Essential skills include excellent judgment, relationship management, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. Required qualifications include a Child Development Associate Teacher permit, CPR and First Aid certification, health screening documentation, vaccination proof, and clearance through criminal background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Child Development Associate Teacher permit issued by CTC-California Teaching Credential Association
- Valid Pediatric/Infant CPR and First Aid certificate/card
- Health screening form (LIC503) completed by a physician with TB clearance or risk assessment
- Proof of required vaccinations: Pertussis (whooping cough), MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), and influenza (flu)
- Must pass initial and annual live scan/criminal background checks conducted by Dept of Justice (DOJ) and by The Salvation Army.
