Job Summary
Preschool Support Staff needed to assist in Early Years classrooms and operate a 14-passenger bus. Responsibilities include greeting and supervising children, maintaining safe classroom and bus environments, completing transportation and student records, planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, documenting curricula and portfolios, and collaborating with families and staff. Must be at least 23 with a valid Texas driver’s license, able to drive a 14-passenger bus, and have 3+ years of early childhood teaching experience (ages 3 months to 5 years). Flexible to cover split shifts (before/after bus runs) and able to work both classroom and bus duties. Requires HS diploma (associate, CDA, or BA in Early Childhood Education preferred), First Aid and Infant/Child CPR certification, and the ability to pass background checks. Strong communication, teamwork, and professional demeanor are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 23 years of age
- High School Diploma
- Hold a clean Texas driving license
- Willing to drive a 14-passenger bus
- Be open to working split shifts to cover bus runs
- Have had at least 3 years of Early Years Teaching experience (to children 3 months to 5 years)
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Good mental and physical health
- Able to follow state licensing regulations and school policies
- Background checks and screenings required
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Substance-free and able to pass drug test if requested
- Provide current driving record
