Job Summary
Preschool Special Education Teacher responsible for delivering academic services to preschool students with disabilities in a NAEYC-accredited public school. Collaborates with the Early Learning Center Coordinator and Director of Student Services to develop and implement IEPs, utilize IDEA and 504 procedures, and align instruction with CT ELDS. Plans and delivers well-structured lessons, uses varied teaching techniques, and maintains accurate records. Maintains a supportive, culturally responsive classroom environment, fosters professional development, participates in committees and staff meetings, and communicates effectively with students, families, and school personnel from diverse backgrounds.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT State Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement for Preschool Special Education
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of CT ELDS
- NAEYC criteria needed
