Job Summary
Preschool Special Education Teacher leads educational classes for preschool/early intervention students in Brooklyn, supervises Teacher Assistants, develops and implements IFSP/IEP goals, conducts assessments, prepares lesson plans and materials, maintains attendance and progress records, participates in interdisciplinary team meetings, and supports curriculum development and family engagement. Requires a Master’s Degree in Special Education and NYS Certification in Special Education Early Childhood (Birth-2nd Grade) or equivalent study plan; position is full-time (Mon-Fri, 8am-3pm) with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and competitive benefits. Located in Brooklyn, NY with opportunities to support students across ADAPT Community Network locations.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Special Education
- New York State Certification in Special Education Early Childhood (Birth-2nd Grade)
- Meet all additional NY State Certification requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and currently obtaining your Master's Degree and/or Special Education Certification (Study Plan)
- Available Monday-Friday, 8am-3pm
