Job Summary
Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy treatment to children in the preschool setting, performs occupational therapy assessments, supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants and students. Principal responsibilities include implementing the occupational therapy intervention plan directly or in collaboration with others, screening and evaluating children to obtain data for planning intervention and treatment, documenting services for Volunteers of America and third-party payers, following the Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice as well as VOA policies, maintaining treatment areas and equipment, supervising OT practitioners and students, and participating in professional development to maintain licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in occupational therapy
- New York State License
- NBCOT certification
- experience and/or training in pediatrics
