Job Summary
Duluth Public Schools seeks a Preschool Paraprofessional to assist teachers, licensed staff, and parents with educational and social activities, as well as care and feeding of Head Start school-age children; helps create an appropriate educational environment for children. 23 hours/week (Mon-Fri; hours/days vary by class needs); wage $19.61–$22.25/hr. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, life, disability, flexible spending accounts, retirement, and time-off provisions. CPR and First Aid certification preferred; CDA credential program enrollment acceptable with progress toward degree.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential; enrolled in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years
- Associate or baccalaureate degree (in any area) or enrolled in a program leading to a degree (as of September 30, 2013)
