Preschool Paraeducator

Preschool Paraeducator assists the preschool teacher with daily classroom instruction and activities, supports students’ academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental growth, works with individuals and small groups, helps with classroom preparation and supervision during activities, recess, meals, and transitions, maintains a safe and inclusive learning environment, assists with personal care needs, supports behavior-management strategies, communicates effectively with staff and families while maintaining confidentiality, and performs other duties as assigned by the preschool teacher or administration. Qualifications emphasize collaboration with teachers, strong interpersonal skills, patience, flexibility, and successful completion of required background checks. Preferred qualifications include experience in early childhood education, CPR/First Aid certification, and knowledge of child development.
