Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to children with minor illnesses, chronic conditions, and injuries while managing the daily operation of the Get Well Place. Perform daily health screenings across the student population, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate medication administration and immunization records. Act as a liaison between families, staff, and providers, conduct staff training on safety and disease prevention, and monitor all health-related incidents. Support children with special medical needs in the classroom and participate in quality assurance inspections. Requires an active CNA, CMA, or LPN license with at least two years of pediatric or school nursing experience. Located in Charlotte, NC, this part-time role offers flexible scheduling with no evening or weekend shifts, free meals, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active and unrestricted CNA, CMA or LPN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric, school nurse, or community health nursing experience
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Familiarity with infection control protocols, medication documentation, and child illness policies
- Proficient in basic technology and electronic health documentation
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional school teams
Desired Qualifications
- School Nurse, Pediatric RN, Public Health Nurse, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Prior experience in early childhood education, daycare health services, or preschool wellness
- Experience in care coordination, staff supervision, or nursing in community-based environments
