Job Summary
Conduct daily music enrichment for children aged 0-5 by supporting play, exploration, and interactive learning. Assess supplies to implement activities, develop weekly lesson plans, and present age-appropriate expectations. Build teamwork with classroom teachers and fellow staff while communicating professionally with parents. Ensure compliance with Goddard's Quality Assurance Standards and manage classrooms according to GSI QA Standards. Create a positive, fun environment where children develop self-esteem and social skills. Requires a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Music or Early Childhood Education, current CDA or teaching credential, and experience working with young children.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Music related field
- An Associate's degree or higher in a Music related field
- Bachelor's degree program in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- An Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field
- A current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential
- Proof of current and active enrollment in an accredited Associate
- Relevant experience working with children 0-5 years old
- Experience in Early Childhood Education and or Elementary School Education
- Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid
- Ability to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lenses
- Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances
- Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies
Desired Qualifications
- An Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field preferred
