Job Summary
Conduct daily music enrichment by interacting with children to support play, exploration, and learning through music. Assess supplies and materials for activities, develop weekly lesson plans, and present age-appropriate expectations. Create a positive, fun, interactive environment that fosters self-esteem and social skills while ensuring compliance with Goddard's Quality Assurance Standards. Communicate professionally with parents and collaborate with classroom teachers and the faculty. Manage classrooms according to GSI QA Standards and maintain a safe, nurturing setting. This role may be part-time music teaching only or full-time music and early childhood teaching.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Music related field
- An Associate's degree or higher in a Music related field
- Bachelor's degree program in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- An Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field
- A current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential
- Proof of current and active enrollment in an accredited Associate
- Relevant experience working with children 0-5 years old
- Experience in Early Childhood Education and or Elementary School Education
- Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid
- Ability to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lenses
- Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances
- Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies
Desired Qualifications
- An Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field preferred
