Job Summary
Preschool Teacher Long-Term Substitute in a 3-year-old classroom at Mt. Juliet Christian Academy. Create a warm, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment, plan engaging activities, foster social-emotional and spiritual growth, and collaborate with families to support children’s learning and faith development. Integrate Christian principles into daily instruction, maintain health and safety standards, and participate in ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Active in a local church and a loving, developing relationship with Jesus Christ
- Commitment to Christian values and the mission of First Baptist Church Mt. Juliet and Mt. Juliet Christian Academy
- Previous experience working with young children in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development theories and best practices
- Familiarity with emergent curriculum and play-based learning approaches
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with young children and their families
- Must pass criminal background check, fingerprinting, submit a physical exam and clearance from medical provider
