Job Summary
Preschool Lead Teacher who leads, coaches, and mentors teachers; oversees classroom management to foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. Implements the L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, working with Infants, Toddlers, and/or Preschoolers, and communicates regularly with parents about children’s activities and progress through mobile apps and personal discussions. Partners with center staff to support enrollment and engagement goals and builds strong relationships with families and coworkers to create a dynamic play-and-learn environment. Pursues required trainings and development hours as required by company or state guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of professional teaching experience preferred
- At least six months of professional teaching experience required
- NC Credentials I and II (EDU 119) or Associate degree or higher in ECE or related degree preferred
- High school diploma/GED required
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)
- CPR and First Aide certification preferred or willing to take within 30 days of starting
- Must meet state specific guidelines for the role
- Current Criminal Records Qualification Letter through the NC Division of Child Development
