Job Summary
Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for children ages 30-36 months, planning and delivering developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Cadence Education programs. Lead classroom operations under the School Director, ensuring compliance with licensing, safety procedures, and the Safety and Supervision Manual while supporting children with IEPs and behavioral plans. Build professional relationships with families through daily greetings and ongoing communication using required systems and tools. Accurately document accidents, incidents, and escalated behaviors per company policy. Participate in trainings and meetings, including those outside regularly scheduled hours. Maintain flexibility for schedule changes based on enrollment and staffing needs.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to follow all safety procedures, including Name‐to‐Face accountability, food allergy processes, bottle‐feeding procedures, and Safe Sleep practices
- Ability to manage a classroom environment with consistency, structure, and care
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Must meet state licensing requirements for Lead Teachers in a licensed childcare center
- Must meet all Department of Health Services (DHS) licensing qualifications for Lead Teachers
- Ability to obtain and maintain required background clearances and health screenings
- High school diploma or GED plus required experience
- College coursework in early childhood education
- CDA, CCP, EEC or NAC credential
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- A minimum of 6–12 months of early childhood or classroom experience
- CDA preferred but not required if state requirements are met
