Job Summary
Preschool Lead Teacher for 3-4 year olds at The Goddard School in Carmel/Westfield. Lead daily activities using the Wonder of Learning curriculum; create a safe, nurturing classroom; communicate with families; supervise children; participate in ongoing professional development; observe and document children's progress; collaborate with Assistant and Resource Teachers; model positive guidance. Requires associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or CDA, 12 related credits, and 1-2 years of licensed preschool experience. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with toilet training. Typical hours 9am-6pm; full-time role in a licensed childcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- 12 credit hours related to Child development
- 1-2 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
- Ability to help toilet training students
- 9am-6pm availability preferred
