Job Summary
Supervise and actively engage with preschool-aged children in indoor and outdoor settings while planning and leading developmentally appropriate activities such as art, music, storytelling, science, and play-based learning. Prepare, organize, and clean activity materials and program spaces to maintain a safe, welcoming environment where children and families feel supported. Monitor equipment and facilities for safety concerns, report issues promptly, and follow all district safety policies and procedures. Work collaboratively with the preschool team and supervisor, attend required meetings and training sessions, and uphold equal opportunity and harassment laws. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Sixty (60) semester hours of college coursework with at least eighteen (18) hours in early childhood education, child development, or a related field
- Thirty (30) semester hours of college coursework and one (1) year of childcare experience
- A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- A high school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of childcare experience
