Job Summary
Preschool Instructional Assistant - Substitute supports classroom teachers by assisting with instruction, preparing learning materials, and maintaining records. The role involves working closely with the classroom teacher/supervisor, engaging with students and parents, attending staff and Parent Connection meetings, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience), English literacy, a valid Arizona driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, background clearance, Mantoux TB test and Food Handlers card, and CPR certification. Term of employment is 9 months; location is District Wide Glendale, AZ. Salary is $16.50-$17.70/hour DOE.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- read, write, and speak English
- valid Arizona driver's license with good driving record
- ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Mantoux TB test and Food Handlers card prior to employment
- CPR training and certification
- age at least 18
- pass background clearance and fingerprint clearance card
