Job Summary
Tutor individuals or small groups of students, reinforcing and implementing instruction as directed by a teacher; maintain records of student progress. Prepare and organize lessons, administer and score tests, and assist in determining English proficiency. Monitor and report student behavior and performance, check lab work, and provide emotional support and guidance. Perform routine clerical duties, set up work areas, operate audio-visual equipment, and assist in overseeing students during labs, lunchroom, playground, and field trips. Contact parents regarding absences and make home visits as necessary. Work 140 days Monday through Thursday. Requires high school diploma, G.E.D., or 64 college hours; pass Kentucky Para-educators Exam or obtain official transcript.
Required Qualifications

- G.E.D. Certificate
- demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D.
- some experience in working with children in an organized setting
- official college transcript from an accredited college
- 64 college hours
- pass the Kentucky Para-educators Exam
