Job Summary
Preschool housed substitute position in Nogales, AZ. Part-time, 4 hours per day (Mon-Fri) with potential up to 8 hours; in-person role requiring travel between centers within the community using a personal vehicle. Responsibilities include substituting in classroom, kitchen, or custodial duties; following teacher guidance on routines; supporting children’s development through individual and small-group activities; fostering teacher-child and child-child conversations; ensuring health and safety rules; participating in parent activities and home visits as needed; assisting in meal preparation and kitchen duties; maintaining cleanliness and safety; supporting school-wide programs and staff meetings; may serve as bus monitor and provide bilingual support if needed. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma OR GED
- Read, write, and speak English
- Submit AZ Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card prior to start date
- Must be able to travel to and from various sites as needed
- Must be able to travel outside assigned area in company-owned vehicle
- Must possess or have ability to possess and keep current certification in First Aid Training/CPR including Infants and Children
- Must possess or have ability to possess and keep current a Food Handlers Certificate issued by the Arizona health department
- Six (6) months prior experience in licensed childcare facility (desirable)
- Possess an associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (desirable)
- Possess Child Development Associate credential (desirable)
- Read, write, and speak Spanish (desirable)
- Must be able to report to and from different centers within the community
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to prove right to work in the USA (I-9)
- Ability to travel between centers
- Ability to pass physical examination
- Ability to provide immunizations as required
- Ability to lift up to 30-40 lbs
- Ability to work in indoor/outdoor environments
- Ability to assist in kitchen and custodial duties as substitute
