Preschool Housed Substitute

Housed substitute position for Head Start centers. Provides classroom, food service, and custodial support across multiple centers with a flexible part-time schedule (approximately 4 hours per day, Monday–Friday; may extend up to 8 hours on some days) and potential travel between centers. Opportunities and financial support to pursue professional development including CDA credential, an associate degree, and potentially a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development. Responsibilities include substituting in classroom, kitchen, or custodial duties, supporting teachers with routines, health and safety practices, family involvement activities, food service duties, and site-wide supervision. Requires reporting to and from different centers, a valid fingerprint clearance, background checks, immunizations, and First Aid/CPR certification. Must be able to travel between community centers using a personal vehicle and work a flexible schedule with limited advance notice.
