Preschool Head Teacher

Lead the classroom team in developing and implementing daily lesson plans that promote the cognitive, physical, and social-emotional needs of 3-5 year olds. Provide supervision to all staff and volunteers, conduct developmental screenings within 45 days of enrollment, and use data to plan individualized learning experiences. Establish positive relationships with parents through home visits, conferences, and regular communication via phone, email, and Class Dojo. Incorporate health practices such as handwashing and allergy management into daily routines while maintaining a safe, clean environment. Implement trauma-informed behavior support strategies and collaborate with families and therapists to address individual education and family support plan goals. Complete all assigned duties, including safety checks and professional development, in accordance with agency policies and Head Start Performance Standards.
