Job Summary
Preschool Group Teacher leads a Head Start classroom for ages 3-5, collaborates with a co-teacher to design and implement engaging, play-based learning experiences; partners with families to support kindergarten readiness; utilizes early childhood assessments and age-appropriate curricula; maintains accurate records, conducts conferences, and coordinates with Family Advocates to address individual needs; requires strong communication, collaboration, and commitment to inclusive, developmentally appropriate practices.
Required Qualifications
- Required Bachelors Degree in early childhood or related field (elementary education, nursery to 6th grad elementary education, special education, student with disabilities- Birth to 2nd or 1st to 6th Grade, child psychology, child development, or general education) and on a study plan to obtain initial certification in Birth- 2nd grade.
