Job Summary
Define and execute the center's operational vision while managing budgets, payroll, and tuition billing to ensure financial stability. Oversee daily administrative functions, including approving purchases and coordinating HR activities like performance evaluations and coaching. Lead enrollment efforts through center tours, family rapport building, and annual parent meetings. Supervise curriculum quality by reviewing lesson plans, verifying accommodations for children with delays, and observing teachers to guarantee inquiry-based learning. Maintain full compliance with DCF licensing, CARF Accreditation, and ELC contracts by managing emergency binders, allergy lists, and incident reporting. Facilitate interdisciplinary meetings for special needs students and ensure strict adherence to Child Care Food Program guidelines. Report maintenance needs and enforce mandatory abuse/neglect reporting laws within a safe, culturally diverse environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting
- At least 3 years in a supervisory/leadership capacity
- Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (or related field)
- At least 1 year of leadership experience (Lead Teacher, Assistant Director, or Director)
- Florida Child Care Professional Certificate (FCCPC)
- At least 10 years of leadership experience in early childhood education or early intervention
- Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification
- Ability to pass a comprehensive Level 2 background check and health screening
- Knowledge of Florida DCF licensing standards
- Knowledge of CCFP requirements
- Knowledge of ELC contracts
- Strong financial management, budgeting, and organizational skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with administrative technology, timekeeping, and child management software (e.g., KidReports)
- Demonstrated ability to handle conflict resolution, crisis management, and parent communication with professionalism and empathy
- Annual commitment to completing required administrative and curriculum-related in-service training hours (20+ hours annually)
