Job Summary
Design and implement daily lesson plans and learning experiences aligned with developmentally appropriate practice and sustainable education principles. Lead classroom organization and routines that promote environmental responsibility, mindful material use, and stewardship habits. Supervise children during learning activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor exploration that fosters connection to nature and hands-on learning. Build strong, trusting relationships with families through consistent, professional, and sustainability-minded communication practices. Respond to family inquiries within 24 hours and participate in conferences and community learning opportunities. Maintain all required certifications, including EEC teacher certification, and complete ongoing training focused on sustainability and professional growth. Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen classroom systems and coach Assistant Teachers in instructional practices. Operate year-round, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass required state and company background checks.
- Must have a high school diploma, GED, or be enrolled in classes.
- EEC teacher certification or requirements completed to be submitted for review (for roles requiring EEC Certification).
- Adhere to all company policies and EEC regulations.
- Ability to stand, move, run, and play for most of the day.
- Ability to lift up to 50pounds multiple times a day.
