Job Summary
Preschool / Early Childhood Education teacher in San Francisco or Silicon Valley, implementing daily programs aligned with Reggio Emilia and IB Early Years frameworks. Responsibilities include planning and carrying out age-appropriate curriculums and long-term projects, preparing classroom environments, assessing and documenting developmental progress, and communicating with staff and parents (including a weekly bulletin). Requires collaboration within a diverse team, strong communication, and a passion for inquiry-based learning. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and/or related field (or 5+ years of relevant experience), 2+ years of preschool teaching experience (preferably Reggio Emilia-inspired), bilingual Italian-English proficiency, and experience with Language Immersion and IB frameworks. Start date August 1, 2026; salary range $70,000–$80,000 annually; full-time, in-person roles in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Visa/work authorization and background clearances are required; visa sponsorship may be available for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and/or Child Development Certificate, or 5+ years experience working with children
- 4 core classes of Early Childhood Education (ECE) with specified course codes (e.g., Introduction to the Field of Child Development, Child Growth and Development, Child, Family and Community, Curriculum for Young Children)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching in preschool, preferably in a Reggio Emilia-inspired environment
- Language: Bilingual and bi-literate in Italian and English with native or near-native Italian proficiency
- Experience with Language Immersion models and International Baccalaureate (IB) Curriculum framework or inquiry/project-based learning
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in the school community
- Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to provide documentation; willingness to obtain necessary clearances (background, TB, immunizations) as required
- Ability to plan curriculum within Reggio Emilia Approach, IB, and inquiry-based projects
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal) and ability to present to parents and colleagues
