Job Summary
Preschool Director to lead the daily operations of a MA-based child care program, ensuring safe, high-quality care and compliance with EEC regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations, supervising staff, coordinating staffing and scheduling, maintaining records and reporting, supporting curriculum development, communicating with families and regulatory agencies, and ensuring enrollment and program quality. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch, in-person at Holyoke location. Qualifications require MA EEC director pathway eligibility, 21+ years, EEC BRC, orientation and Essentials training, Lead Teacher requirements, and First Aid/CPR certification or timeframe to obtain.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet Massachusetts EEC qualifications for a Preschool Director position
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a suitable EEC Background Record Check (BRC)
- Must complete EEC Staff Orientation and EEC Essentials training
- Must meet all applicable EEC Lead Teacher requirements
- Must qualify through one of the EEC-approved Director pathways, which include a combination of education, professional development, and experience in child care leadership
- First Aid/CPR certification required or obtained within the required timeframe
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience supervising and evaluating staff preferred
- Experience in child care administration or program leadership preferred
- Basic computer and Google Drive skills required
