Job Summary
Lead preschool program as Director overseeing staff recruitment and training, curriculum implementation, licensing compliance, and family partnerships; may step in as a classroom teacher when needed to maintain instruction continuity; manage admissions, enrollment, and staff scheduling; maintain a welcoming environment and strong communication with families; ensure compliance with licensing standards and provide coaching through observations; foster safe, nurturing learning experiences aligned with character education and phonics-based curriculum; requires strong leadership, child-development knowledge, CPR/First Aid, and relevant certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development or a related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in preschool programs, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- 3-5 years of hands-on teaching experience (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of child development
- Familiarity with Virginia Department of Education licensing standards
- Excellent communication skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Medical Administration Training certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass all required pre-employment screenings and training
