Job Summary
Preschool Coordinator/Instructional Coach role within Yuma Elementary School District One focused on ensuring compliance with state and federal mandates for general and special education. Responsibilities include developing procedures for identification, referral, evaluation, multidisciplinary conferencing, placement and re-evaluation of students with special needs; collaborating with principals, general-education teachers, parents and ESS staff for compliance; coordinating program components (e.g., ESY, ECERS, CLASS, data reporting); facilitating IEP meetings and training for 504 plans and curriculum; implementing and maintaining programs to meet district objectives; preparing mandated reports to support ongoing funding; presenting information on CPI, 504/IEP implementation, and professional development; researching current practices and policies; serving as a resource/mentor to Gen Ed and ESS staff; supporting site principals, teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and related staff; and performing other duties to ensure efficient operation. Education: Bachelor's degree in a job-related area; Experience: job-related experience required. Certifications: IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card; Teaching Credential (clearances noted). Optional Early Childhood Certificate preferred.
