Job Summary
Preschool Cook responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking healthy meals for preschool children that meet proper nutritional requirements; manage and communicate allergens to teachers daily; follow food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures; collaborate with Center Leadership to purchase food and supplies and maintain inventory per local/state requirements; provide excellent customer service with parents and children; stay flexible to the daily needs of a childcare center.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in food preparation and cooking
- A food handling certificate or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire
- The ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
