Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and cook healthy, nutritious meals for preschool children while maintaining and tracking individual food allergies to communicate daily with teachers. Follow strict food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures, and collaborate with leadership to purchase supplies and manage inventory records per local and state regulations. Provide excellent customer service to parents and children with a positive, flexible attitude. Requires a High School Diploma, one year of food preparation experience, a valid food handling certificate, and the ability to lift 25 lbs. Background screening via FDLE and FBI is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in food preparation and cooking
- A food handling certificate or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire
- The ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
- Background screening through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Clearinghouse
