Job Summary
Drive gasoline-powered 25-passenger buses to transport students between neighborhoods, schools, and programs while ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of children, seniors, staff, and passengers. Maintain vehicle operating conditions, fuel, and cleanliness; report problems immediately to the Director of Operations. Follow strict time schedules for pickups and drop-offs, communicate with staff and parents to adjust routes, and read maps to follow geographic directions. Prepare reports on passengers, trips, hours, mileage, fuel, and fares. Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems; conduct pre- and post-event evaluations. Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations.
Required Qualifications
- A valid commercial driver's license or chauffer license to operate a bus
- clean driving record
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of driving experience
- Ability to pass fingerprint clearance test
- Must be 21 years of age
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate organization needs
