Job Summary
Conduct daily bus inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with state licensing and DMV standards. Safely transport preschoolers to and from school while monitoring behavior, documenting concerns, and greeting authorized pick-ups for secure handoffs. Create a positive environment on the bus through kid-friendly music and positive language, maintaining a clean and fueled-up vehicle. Greet families with a smile to ensure every ride is a happy, secure adventure. Stay current with CPR and First Aid certifications, in-service training, and staff meetings to maintain community connections. You may also step into teacher or assistant roles to add variety to your day. Full-time drivers earn $17.00-$22.10 hourly with access to childcare tuition discounts, 401(k) matching, and comprehensive health benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 21 years old
- Meets all state preschool and bus driver requirements
- Qualifies under Cadence Education's insurance underwriting standards
- Current CPR & First Aid certifications
