Job Summary
Provide care and education for children ages 0-5, ensuring a positive and engaging learning experience. Collaborate with the Center Supervisor and Teachers to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities. Assume the responsibilities of a Teacher in their absence, guiding and supporting instructional assistants, parents, and volunteers. Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all children. Assist in planning and executing educational activities that promote child development. Participate in physical activities with children, including games, music, and outdoor play. Assist with bus supervision, ensuring the safety and engagement of children during transportation. Complete pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR training within the first 30 days of hire. Complete 16 hours of training on preventative health practices and nutrition, as required by Health and Safety Code within the first 30 days of hire. Required Qualifications
- 12 semester units ECE/CD with grade C or better or CDA Credential or CTC
- 6 months related experience with children ages 0-5
- Associate Teacher Permit or higher
- For HS/EHS/MSHS/State-Braided Associate Teachers: CDA credential or California equivalent permit or enrolled in CDA program to be completed within 2 years or associate/bachelor degree or enrollment leading to such degree
- Valid California driver’s license, driving record, and proof of insurance may be required for travel (dependent on department)
