Job Summary
Assist and support all staff in the education of children by supervising students during classroom routines, bus arrival/dismissal, and lunch or recess. Prepare materials for the classroom, including reproducing equipment, correcting papers, and creating bulletin board content. Work with individual or group students under teacher direction to assist with homework, behavioral management plans, and technology use. Maintain student records, report relevant matters to administrators, and help integrate special education students into the regular classroom. Provide requested information for Individualized Education Program development and ensure appropriate health and safety standards. Work Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with one Monday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to relate to all children regardless of needs and/or abilities
- Possess collaborative and interpersonal skills
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Physical capacity profile test
